About

AI-first FinOps. Engineering-deep savings

We work at the intersection of three disciplines most companies treat separately.

Engineering teams ship features. Infrastructure teams keep things running. FinOps teams report on spend. In most companies, these three functions live in different parts of the org chart and rarely solve problems together.

That separation is what makes cloud waste so persistent. The biggest cost inefficiencies, like the architectural patterns that quietly burn money for years, the over-provisioned services no one questions, and the data pipelines designed for scale that never came, sit precisely at the intersection of all three. None of the disciplines can fix them alone.

Koritsu was founded to operate in that intersection. We bring engineering depth, infrastructure expertise, and FinOps discipline to the same problem at the same time. We read the code that's costing you money. We review the architecture that's producing the bill. And we measure the outcome in your billing data.

How we operate

We start with what we can see from the outside: billing exports, infrastructure metrics, architecture diagrams. Within days we have a ranked list of waste hotspots, the places where cost and actual usage don't match.

Where the data flags inefficiency, we go deeper. We read the code, review the architecture, identify the structural reason. Most consultancies stop at the dashboard. We don't.

When the fix is clear, we work alongside your engineers to ship it. Savings show up in next month's bill, not in next quarter's strategy deck.

Kori, our AI FinOps analyst

We've also built Kori, an AI agent that does the work a FinOps analyst would do, every day, on your account. She investigates anomalies, recommends architectural changes proactively, sends scheduled reports, and answers questions in plain language. Behind Kori, our human team handles the architecture work that needs human judgment.

Kori isn't a replacement for engineering-grade FinOps. She's how we keep the savings we deliver from quietly creeping back. The service finds it. Kori keeps it gone.

Where we work

Koritsu operates from London, Dubai, and São Paulo, working with engineering-led organisations across the UK, EU, Brazil, the US, and Australia. Our clients run production cloud workloads typically £10k+/month, and they've usually concluded that the next FinOps dashboard isn't the answer.

If that sounds like you, the next step is a 30-minute conversation. We'll look at your setup, share what we typically find in environments like yours, and tell you honestly whether we can help. No pitch deck.

15 years writing software. 10 years in the cloud. One pattern I couldn't unsee.

I spent the first decade of my career writing code, then another decade building and auditing systems on AWS, Azure, and GCP. Across more than 15 environments and £4M+ in cost savings I've personally delivered, the same pattern showed up everywhere.

Roughly 30% of every cloud budget was waste. Not because engineers were careless, but because the systems that produce cloud bills and the systems that produce cloud architecture are designed by different people, reviewed in different meetings, and optimised on different timelines. The waste sits in the gap between them.

I tried fixing this from inside engineering teams. The optimisation work always lost to feature deadlines. I tried fixing it from inside FinOps teams. The recommendations always stopped at the boundary of "engineering should look at this." Neither side, on its own, had what was needed.

That's why I started Koritsu. Not as another FinOps dashboard (there are enough of those), but as a team that operates in the intersection. Engineering depth, infrastructure expertise, and FinOps discipline brought to the same problem at the same time. The thing I wished existed when I was the engineer being told to "find some savings" without anyone giving me the time, the tools, or the context to do it properly.

If your team is in that situation, we should talk.

Don't just take our word for it

Independent surveys, reports, and academic studies all point to the same conclusion: businesses are overspending in the cloud due to inefficiencies, lack of expertise, and poor visibility

"Cloud waste hits billions as 78% of firms report significant expenditure losses...

Additionally, 51% of respondents estimate that over 40% of their cloud spend could be optimised".

"With over 300 respondents, the survey found that more than three-quarters (78%) estimate that 21-50% of their cloud spend is wasted, highlighting substantial opportunities for cost savings."
